How it works
This tool uses your browser's built-in Canvas engine to re-encode images. You pick a format and quality, optionally cap the width, and it produces a smaller, converted copy on the spot. Because the work happens locally, there is no upload, no queue, and no privacy trade-off. It also means it stays fast no matter how many images you drop in.
When to use each format
WebP gives the smallest files for the same quality and is supported everywhere that matters in 2026, so it is the best default for the web. JPG is the safe choice for photos when you need maximum compatibility. PNG is for graphics, screenshots, and anything that needs a transparent background or crisp edges.
Tips for smaller files
Convert photos to WebP at quality 75 to 82 for a big size drop with no visible loss. Resize down to the largest size you actually display, since a 4000px photo shown at 800px is wasted bytes. For screenshots and logos, stay on PNG so text and lines stay sharp.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your files never touch a server, which is why it is instant and private.

Is there a limit?
No sign-up and no hard limit. Very large batches are bounded only by your device's memory.
Does compressing reduce quality?
WebP and JPG are lossy, so lower quality means smaller files. PNG is lossless. The quality slider lets you find the right balance.
