How it works

This tool opens your PDF with a rendering engine that runs inside your browser. It draws each page onto a canvas at the resolution you choose, then exports that canvas as a JPG or PNG. Because the rendering happens locally, your file is never uploaded, there is no queue, and confidential documents stay on your machine. It also means it keeps working even with no internet connection once the page has loaded.

JPG or PNG, and which resolution

JPG gives smaller files and is the right pick for photos, scanned pages, and anything you want to email or post. PNG is lossless, so reach for it when a page has sharp text, fine lines, or you need a transparent-friendly format. For resolution, Standard is fine for viewing on a screen, High renders at 2x for crisp detail, and Max renders at 3x when you need print quality or plan to zoom in.

Common uses
